Michael Bennet is one of Joe Biden’s most loyal lieutenants. Even on controversial Biden Administration decisions like the military withdrawal from Afghanistan and Biden’s multi-trillion dollar Build Back Better legislation, Michael Bennet stood by Joe Biden.
Joe O’Dea has criticized Bennet for putting his loyalty to Biden ahead of the best interests of Colorado and the American people.
In an editorial endorsing O’Dea, the Gazette said O’Dea was smart and pragmatic, and that Bennet’s blind loyalty to Biden has come at a cost: Bennet is one of the least effective Senators in the United States Senate.
The Center for Effective Lawmaking ranked Bennet one of Washington, DC’s least effective Senators.
“Michael Bennet isn’t a bad guy,” O’Dea said, “but all he does is vote the party line and he doesn’t get anything done. Senator Bennet is a do-nothing Senator.”
“Michael Bennet is Joe Biden’s Senator, not Colorado’s,” O’Dea said. “No political party will control me. I will put Colorado and working Americans first.”

Former President Bill Clinton’s top economic adviser Larry Summers blamed runaway federal spending for America’s inflationary crisis. Senator Bennet voted in lockstep with President Biden on each of the trillion-dollar spending measures that Obama’s economic chief said led to the inflationary spiral.
In fact, dating back to his appointment to the US Senate in 2009, Bennet has voted for nearly all of the largest spending bills in American history. On Bennet’s watch, the national debt has more than doubled. Today, the national debt is $31 trillion.
With the Stock Market in a deep decline and the economy in recession, economists warn things could still get worse.
According to Mr. Summers, Obama’s top economic adviser: "If we continue with the kind of ostrich policies we had in 2021 there is going to be much, much more pain later."
Every American is living the consequences of skyrocketing inflation. The crisis has led to dramatic increases in gas, energy, produce, meat, and home prices.
O’Dea said getting control of the inflationary crisis will be Job #1 if he defeats Bennet.

O’Dea released a detailed plan to cut wasteful spending, reduce the deficit, and hire more border agents and police officers to address the nation’s fentanyl crisis and skyrocketing crime rates.
O’Dea has been endorsed by a wide range of bipartisan leaders from across the state of Colorado because of his commitment to rising above partisanship.
“Joe is a man of wisdom, integrity and guts,” said Nick Rogers, the head of the Denver Police Protective Association. O’Dea was also endorsed by the American Association of Senior Citizens because of his commitment to protect Social Security and Medicare for current retirees and those who are aging.
Former United States Senator Hank Brown, a pro-choice Republican, and Cole Wist, a former legislator who left the Republican Party because of opposition to Donald Trump, said O’Dea is as strong as any candidate running for office in the United States.
“If there’s a candidate for elected office more honest, ethical, and authentic than Joe O’Dea, we’d be surprised” Brown and Wist wrote in a Colorado Sun editorial. “Indeed, national journalists have called O’Dea one of the best candidates anywhere in the country. For his part, O’Dea says he is just a working guy trying to make change for a country that has been good to him and his family.
“I’m not a career politician,” O’Dea said. “I’ll stand with seniors and working people. I’ll fight for the underdogs because I have been one my whole life.”
