MEET CELESTE

Like Joe, I began working at a young age.

At 13, I baby sat for church and school teachers, I also cleaned houses with my mother. At 14, I worked at fast food restaurant. At 15, I was a cashier at a pizza restaurant (my manager discovered I was good at math!). By 16 I was working at several retail clothing stores, acquired some management experience, while discovering my affinity for science in school.

Good grades came easy and I was labeled a “well dressed” nerd. I did not have a car, so often walked, biked, or bussed straight from school to work.

Joe enters my world on a night out with the girls. At 17, I graduated from Gateway High School and headed to Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I followed the pre-med curriculum and earned a B.S., majoring in Microbiology and Medical Technology. I’m ASCP Board Certified and have enjoyed 25 years of Clinical Laboratory Science.

My joy is complete with Joe, and Tayler and all the demands of family. My side hobby is remodeling, from our home to designing and renovating our event centers. I’m retired from laboratory work but still work on remodels and spending time with Joe and friends on our horses.

Like many, I am challenged by time & energy consuming health issues, but I am determined to live my best life every day.
